Bakari Williams is a multifaceted professional musician currently freelancing and teaching in the NYC area. While studying with Detroit Symphony Orchestra Principal Kevin Brown at Michigan State University, Williams has been a fellow of the National Repertory Orchestra working with many prominent conductors. He has since completed a degree of his studies in NYC earning a masters degree under the tutelage of both Orin O'Brien and Blake Hinson both of the New York Philharmonic. Bakari has also worked with legendary jazz bassist Rodney Whitaker and has expanded to playing many other styles outside of the classical genre.
